Ripps Continue 20th Anniversary Tour In Vegas

The Rippingtons, featuring Russ Freeman, continue the 20th Anniversary Tour with a stopover in Vegas, one night only, at the Santa Fe Hotel, in the Chrome Showroom, September 8th. Preceding the Ripps the week before will be one of the hottest smooth jazz guitarists on the scene today, Paul Brown, also appearing in Chrome at the Santa Fe, September 2nd.

Best wishes go out to the family and fans of trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson, who's recent passing left a hole in the jazz world. He was scheduled to appear at the Santa Fe following the Rippingtons on Saturday, September 9th. He was 78 years old.

Chartbusting vocalist/songwriter Brian McKnight will perform his hits in the Dallas Events Center at Texas Station on September 15th.

And the following week, back in the Chrome Showroom at the Santa Fe, are the super talents of the Larry Coryell, Victor Bailey, and Lenny White Trio on September 22nd, followeed byt the smooth soprano sax sounds of Marion Meadows in the same venue the following night.

Jazz Under The Stars #3 with trumpeter Rick Braun, along with the mystical jazz of Hiroshima kick it up in the cool mountain air at the Spring Mountain State Park, Saturday, September 2nd. The event is presented by longtime jazz promoter Michael Schivo.

Rocky Gordon, and his band KGB, will perform for the Jazz Sunday Brunch in the Envy Steakhouse in the Renaissance Hotel, hosted by Smooth Jazz 105.7 The Oasis.
