Fifteen Annual City Of Lights Jazz Festival 2007 Booked

Michael Schivo, producer of the City Of Lights Jazz Festival that takes place in April each year, has stated to Smooth Vibes that he has the primary acts booked. The two day event will take place on April 20th and 21st in 2007, and Schivo will host more of an R & B, Soul type evening on the first night, and top name smooth jazz artists the second. The lineup includes Rick Braun, Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliot, and Peter White. The festival will celebrate its fifteenth year in Las Vegas.

Michael Franks will perform his crossover Jazz-Adult Contemporary vocal stylings in the Railhead Showroom at the Boulder Station Hotel, Friday, November 3rd.

Also performing in Vegas that same weekend is Pop-R & B-Jazz songstress Vanessa Williams, November 3rd-5th, at the Orleans Hotel.

Lake Las Vegas, which hosts Friday night jazz at Montelago Village, presents Rocky Gordon and his band KGB, regarded as a cutting edge contemporary jazz group. They perform Friday, November 3rd.

Diane Schuur brings her hip, straight-ahead style to the Boulder Station Hotel November 18th.

Spyro Gyra will bring thirty years of great tunes and great playing to the Suncoast Hotel for three nights, November 17th-19th.

The South Point Hotel (formerly The South Coast), in conjunction with Findlay Toyota, present The Cool Jazz, Smooth Soul Series on Saturday, November 18th. Performing that evening will be vocalist Will Downing, guitarist Norman Brown, and saxophonist Gerald Albright.
