Larry Carlton Gets Lifetime Achievement Honor

carltonLarryxa.jpgLegendary guitarist Larry Carlton, who has appeared on more than 3,000 CDs, has had a successful solo career with 31 albums and is a member of the smooth jazz supergroup Fourplay, has been honored with the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award by Guitar Player magazine.

Carlton, who has won three Grammy Awards, recently celebrated his 60th birthday and is as busy as ever. He’s got a full slate of shows this summer, is working on some new projects and his new Fourplay CD, Energy, will be available on Sept. 23.
