While surfing the net I bumped into an interesting new project called Catalina Island Nights released by Narada Records. It features artists like Peter White, Richard Elliot, Keiko Matsui and a host of others which appeared at the Catalina Island Jazz Trax Festival over the course of 15 years and helped to make it one of the best smooth jazz festivals out there. Even yours truly attended it once back in '93 :-) Congrats to Art Good for his outstanding job!
It is with great pleasure that I'm writing to tell readers about the upcoming of Peter White's newest release entitled "Glow". It will hit the music stands on October 2, 2001 and blasts itself into the smooth jazz world with vibrant, lyrical and new PW sounds! It features many of Peter's best SJ friends, including Dave Koz, Kirk Whalum, Rick Braun, Steve Cole and Euge Groove.
The first radio-release single already on the airwaves is "Turn It Out", with Euge. Peter's added some very nice and innovative covers to this album of a couple of his favorite '70's songs that are slinky, silky and seductive.
The Caravan, Peter's official fan club is very excited about what promises to the the best CD of the year and invites one and all to visit our website at www.peterwhitefanclub.com to listen to a clip of the first single and view the innovative liner cover that for the first time does not have a picture of Peter on it! A concise and well-written press release is also availabe on www.allthatjazzinc.com and stay tuned to our website for more updates! You'll want to have this as soon as it comes out! The "Glow" is just beginning!
Congratulations also go out to Peter and his wife Robin on the arrival of their bundle of joy from China, Miss Charlotte White. Now that he's a Dad, Peter seems to be enjoying life even more! You can see a picture of this little doll at Peter's official website, www.peterwhite.com in his "notes" column.
